Statement islands will feature heavily in 2017, this is supported by
worktop technologies and the wide array of new worktop finishes entering
the market. Mixing is the name of the game: texture, thickness, height
and colour - anything goes. Open storage features are also a must in
your island design, stretch your creativity but keep it practical.
Use product creatively
A split level island is a clever way to reduce the appearance of bulk
without reducing worktop space. It’s also a nice way of softening the
transition from kitchen to a dining/living space.
Get creative with lighting and give your island that flouting feeling,
here we’ve paired it with a universal sliding doors system that adds
real drama as well as creative display.
Mixing Worktop textures create a real statement contrasting not only
finishes but thinness too, complimenting display features and
splashbacks both play a big part in this look.
Make a feature with contrasting kitchen fascias, you need to be bold to
make a statement it’s not the time to play safe…sometime more is more!

Set Visions knows tiles. We work with national tile
suppliers across the country and beyond creating aspirational imagery for
print, brochure and media campaigns. As
a creative image supplier for kitchens and bathrooms companies we incorporate
tiles in the majority of our set designs. Essentially, tiles are our bread and
Pix CGI is a perfect fit for tiles. Our CGI
artists expertly mirror the shape, texture and lustre in our renders. With just
a couple of samples we can create images without the restriction of scale,
environment or costly product deliveries.
Capture, our photography studio also
specialises in lifestyle tile shots, developing trends with our clients to
deliver images that have a great commercial quality. Here’s a selection of our
favourite shots illustrating the beauty of ceramic, glass and stone surface

Over the past month here at Set Visions we have been holding
our very own Great Set Visions Bake Off! It’s been a month of tasty talents from our creative team showcasing
some stylish designs and mouth-watering treats! After rigorous tasting, voting
and waist band expanding three golden spoons were awarded…
Jal our Head of Creative produced an unconventional beauty
much like she does with her interior and room set design. Awarded the
Golden Spoon for Creativity her Chocolate
Cherry Delight made with beetroot, wild flowers and mascarpone. It was an
elegant floral beauty that won the hearts of everyone who voted.
The winner of tastiness goes
to Owen (CGI artist and baker extraordinaire) for his Coconut Lemon Drizzle
Cake which was thoughtful and packed with taste which exhibited top baking
skills. Owen's meticulous approach to baking is reflected in the
visualisation and CGI animation he works on here at Set Visions.
And the winner of moistness
and the overall winner of the competition goes to Nina! Nina's attention
to detail and perfectionists eye can be seen in her lifestyle and trend work,
top work from our Head Photographic Stylist. Congratulations,
your delicious, Berry Bundt Cake (fruit cake) was intricate, beautiful but also
had the perfect balance of moistness, taste as well as overall goodness which
has won you the crown of The Great Set Visions Bake Off 2016.
