Welcome to the styling team Jules

Team Set Visions is made up of a diverse creative bunch. Our interior design team is no exception ensuring all our clients receive the very best ingenious design scheme every time.

This position needs an all-round hero who has a flair for detail, a skilled drill user and someone who can easily absorb and interpret industry design trends. We’d like to welcome Jules to our styling team who will be key to both our photography and CGI departments.

Jules, what interior design trends are grabbing your attention?

“I have always had a thing for retro and vintage pieces which I love to combine with current trends to keep it looking modern. Currently I am still loving the botanical trend, as a plant addict I love the feeling of bringing the outside in. I also like the darker moody paint colours that are being seen more and more, as seen in the Teal Tease blog.

How do you keep up with industry changes?

“I have quite a collection of interior design books and magazines, but these do date quite quickly. I find the most up to date source of inspiration is from all the amazing people I follow daily on Instagram. I am also a Pinterest addict! You can find anything and everything on there!”

Lastly what is your favourite set you’ve styled so far?

“It has to be the Wickes paint job. It was great to work on such a lovely brief and three very different sets that were all about being brave and experimenting with paint colour. Right up my street!”

Get the look-Teal Tease

This look is all about colour and pattern. Mix up turquoises and greens in block sections around your room to create bold colour hotspots with tonal charm. Alcoves are great places to add a different shade in to a room. Accent walls and even painted ceilings are strong this year. Go bold with paint for this seasons Teal Tease trend.

Vlog-Muted Pastel Hues

Hi Joel Young here, the CGI Stylist at Set Vision and welcome to our next VLog entry!

This month I’ve been looking at muted pastel hues which are set to be seen in different trends across the world of interior design for 2017, including the Terracotta and Desert Escape trends. These muted pastel hues are great because they have a natural base which allows them to work as a collective or as a basis with a diverse pop colour.

Why not grab a brew and a biscuit, sit back and relax and enjoy our latest VLog!

‘Hygge’ Home: the Danish art of living cosily

Main image

As the nation falls in love with the Danish ‘Hygge’ home movement - if you have not heard of it yet well you will now - after all, Denmark was voted one of the happiest places to live, and with this philosophy in life we totally agree.

In essence ‘Hygge’ means creating a cosy, homely, warm atmosphere whilst enjoying the good things in life with good people around you. Sit back and take in our trending guide whilst enjoying a warming cup of tea, the perfect Scandinavian way.

Layering texturesMiddle image

As the nights close in for these wintry months it’s time to cozy up in thick, cable knit throws, add plenty of rustic charm with baskets to store and accessorize - perfect for the cozy, rustic look.

Plenty of candles should adorn your ‘Hygge’ home, creating a warm friendly feel. Lanterns are perfect, style them up in sizes to create depth. Mix woods and chromes to get a modern/rustic feel.

Social styleBottom image

The living room is a social space that welcomes the family and friends in for an evening of relaxation and quality times. It’s key to echo that friendly feel with layered up cushions and throws for guests to snuggle up on the sofa. Create a welcoming space with scented candles and a good selection of coffee table books.

After an evening spent enjoying simple life pleasures in your beautiful home, why not take a calming retreat to your bedroom? Making this space ease you in to rest with its deep atmospheric walls and subtle choice in lighting will create a perfect space to snuggle up and read a book.

The green scene VLOG

Welcome to our first Trend VLOG! Our lovely Head Photographic Stylist Nina chats through all things green. Green is one of the big colour contenders over the last few seasons, from vibrant flashes to deep and moody hues.
Over the past year greens have been interpreted through the Botanical and Tropical Jungle trends, which have strongly rooted their way across interior and homeware design, fusing from contemporary to classic styling.
